These plate setups will work with all 1969 and earlier generator motors. They will fit a 1.5" or 2" open belt primary. They can also be used to work with a tin inner and out primary cover as well. (cutting of the stock inner primary and some fabrication work is required to run a tin primary setup)
We can also custom make these to work with a 3" primary belt. Please email us at [email protected] if you need one for a 3" belt.
You must use a 1965 and up style transmission with the electric start ears and you will have to provide spacers behind the plate when lining up your drivetrain. (Generally a 1/2" spacer behind the engine sprocket bolts works but there is some variables on that measurement depending on your chassis alignment)
If you want to use this with a 1964 or earlier transmission, we recommend welding on a mount towards the rear of the lower frame rail and bolting the plate to that mount with a 3/8" sized bolt to keep it secure.
These are also great for using as a foot clutch with a hand shifter setup.
*Customer will need to provide their own FX shovelhead mid control shifter shaft and toe lever and shifter linkage. This item is just the shifter plate piece no linkage or shaft or toe lever is included
** These are designed to work with FX style shifter drums on a ratchet top transmission where the shifter tabs is at the 12'oclock position facing up on the ratchet side cover.
*** If you are using the 1979 and up style rotary top transmission you will need to use the following OEM shifter linkage components with this setup from a '79 and up FX.

PLEASE NOTE: due to some slight differences in aftermarket shifter shaft linkages and toe levers you might have to use a few washers or a small spacer to take up the difference in between the toe lever and the outer bushing.
Depending on the shifter shaft lever that you use may have to extend to the length on the shifter lever for the shifter linkage to line up with the ratchet top lever.
Foot peg mount is not included, we recommend using a 3/8" sized clevis to the length that is comfortable for your foot to rest on whatever peg you are using
